Adoption of Alayna - Adoption Progress

  • 6/10/07 - Started adoption Process in China
  • 12/07 - Decided not to pursue China adoption due to extensive delays
  • 2/15/08 - Decided to adopt from Kazakhstan with CWA
  • 2/25/08 - Homestudy Done
  • 3/1/08 - Completed Adoption Education Courses
  • 4/1/08 - Complete Homestudy sent to USCIS
  • 5/08 - Agency tells us closing its Kaz program due to new ambassador
  • 5/08 - After much prayer, decied to pursue Russian adoption and made changes to homestudy
  • 6/10/08 - Started Dossier for Russia
  • 6/25/08 - Completed Dossier and sent to Russia
  • 7/3/08 - Received USCIS approval
  • 7/29/08 - Received Confirmation of Cable 37
  • 9/22/08 - Logged into Russian Database and start waiting for our referral
  • 1/27/09 - Agency informed us the wait time has increased and could take up to 12 months...
